Magic Treasures (Aristocrat) is a Hold & Spin link game, part of the same family as Lightning Link and Dragon Link. During base play, mystical gem symbols can land on the reels. When six or more gems land on a single spin, the Hold & Spin link feature activates: the triggering gems lock in place and the remaining positions respin, with new gems locking and resetting the respin counter. Each locked gem displays either a credit value or a progressive jackpot label (Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand), and filling all positions awards the Grand progressive. The trigger is random — there is no accumulator that builds toward it — so the advantage comes entirely from finding machines whose progressive meters (especially Major and Grand) have climbed well above their seed values, raising the expected value of any trigger.
