Lucky Empress / Inca Empress Strategy — Advantage Play Guide
Lucky Empress and Inca Empress by Ainsworth use a multiplier queue system to drive their advantage play edge. When high-value 10x or 12x multipliers are active — or waiting in line behind smaller ones — the machine carries significant +EV for a player who knows how to read the queue.
What Is Lucky Empress?
Lucky Empress is an Ainsworth slot with a distinctive multiplier accumulator. Rather than a simple fill-meter, the machine tracks a queue of multiplier values (5x, 8x, 10x, 12x) that activate sequentially as the player continues spinning. Each multiplier in the queue amplifies a future winning spin by its respective value.
Inca Empress is a themed variant with an Andean visual style. The mechanics are identical — every strategy rule in this guide applies equally to both titles.
How the Multiplier Queue Works
Multipliers are awarded and queued during play. When a multiplier is active it applies to the next qualifying win; once used it is consumed and the next multiplier in the queue becomes active. The queue is the core of the advantage play:
- 5x — low-value, not a standalone play trigger
- 8x — moderate value, not a standalone trigger
- 10x — high value, triggers a +EV play when active or queued
- 12x — highest value, triggers a +EV play when active or queued
A 5x or 8x sitting in front of a 10x or 12x in the queue is not wasted — it is just the "toll" you pay to reach the high-value multiplier behind it.
Identifying a +EV State
Lucky Empress is +EV in any of these three scenarios:
Scenario 1: Active 10x or 12x
A 10x or 12x multiplier is currently active (the next qualifying win will use it). Sit and play — this is the highest-edge state.
Scenario 2: Combined total ≥ 10x
Multiple lower multipliers are active and their combined total reaches 10x or more (e.g., 5x + 5x, or 5x + 8x across two pending wins).
Scenario 3: 10x/12x queued behind 5x or 8x
A 10x or 12x sits in the queue behind a currently-active 5x or 8x. Play through the smaller multiplier to reach the larger one.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the advantage play trigger for Lucky Empress?▾
The machine is +EV when an active 10x or 12x multiplier is present, when any combination of active multipliers totals 10x or more, or when a 10x or 12x multiplier sits in the queue behind lower multipliers (5x or 8x) that are currently active.
What does 'in the queue' mean for Lucky Empress multipliers?▾
Lucky Empress and Inca Empress queue multipliers — lower-value multipliers (5x, 8x) play out first before the larger ones behind them activate. If a 10x or 12x multiplier is waiting in the queue behind a 5x or 8x, you play through the smaller multipliers to reach the large one.
Should I sit on a machine showing only a 5x multiplier?▾
Not by itself. A lone 5x active multiplier is not +EV. However, if a 10x or 12x is queued behind it, you play through the 5x to reach the high-value multiplier.
How do Inca Empress and Lucky Empress differ?▾
Inca Empress is a themed variant of Lucky Empress with different artwork and audio. The core multiplier accumulator mechanic and trigger thresholds are identical between the two titles.
When should I walk away from Lucky Empress?▾
Leave after the highest queued multiplier has activated and the bonus it drives has paid out. Once the queue is exhausted and no large multiplier remains active or pending, the machine is back to a neutral state.
