Egyptian Gems: Rise of Pharaoh / Rise of Queen Strategy
Egyptian Gems by Gaming Arts uses a pyramid-triggered orb queue. Learn which orb colors and positions create genuine player-favorable opportunities and how to evaluate the machine in seconds on the floor.
Fundamentals
What Is Egyptian Gems?
Egyptian Gems: Rise of Pharaoh and its companion Rise of Queen are Gaming Arts MHB slot machines. Orbs containing credit prizes line up in a queue next to the main character above the reels. Pyramid symbols on the reels advance orbs from the queue onto the active reel area.
The AP type is MHB (must-hit-by) combined with an orb queue accumulator mechanic. Evaluating both the orb queue state and the progressive counter values gives the most complete player-favorable assessment.
Under the hood
How the Orb Queue Mechanic Works
- Orb queue: Orbs containing credit prizes sit in a queue to the right of the main character. The bottom orb in the queue is closest to entering the active reel area.
- Pyramid advancement: Each pyramid symbol landing on the reels moves the bottom queue orb into the active reel area where it can be collected.
- Orb colors: Yellow orbs contain the highest credit prizes. Red orbs are mid-tier. Standard orbs are lower value. The color of the upcoming orb is visible in the queue.
- First-reel exclusion: Orbs currently on the first reel will move out of play on the next spin. Do not count them in your trigger evaluation.
- Orb-volume bonus trigger: Enough orbs on the reels simultaneously increases the probability of triggering the free games bonus, which is valuable independent of individual orb credit values. The guide names that total.

Play / Walk Rules
- Play: Yellow orbs in play (active beyond the first reel, or bottom queue); yellow orbs stacked in the queue; red orbs accumulated on the reels; or total orb volume for bonus probability.
- Walk: No yellow orbs in qualifying positions, with the red-orb count and the total-orb count both short of the guide’s thresholds.
- Exclude first-reel orbs: Always subtract orbs on the leftmost reel from your count.
- Re-evaluate after collection: After an orb is collected or the bonus fires, reassess the queue state before continuing.

Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Egyptian Gems: Rise of Pharaoh / Rise of Queen?
Egyptian Gems is a Gaming Arts MHB slot machine featuring orbs containing credit prizes. Orbs appear in a queue to the right of the main character above the reels. Each time a pyramid symbol lands, the bottom orb in the queue drops into the active reels area. Yellow orbs and red orbs signal high-value plays.
How does the orb queue work?
Orbs line up in the queue to the right of the main character. Every pyramid symbol landing on the reels moves the bottom queue orb into the active reel area. When an orb lands on a reel position during a spin, the player wins its credit prize. The orb at the front of the queue (bottom position) is closest to the active area.
What makes yellow orbs so important?
Yellow orbs contain significantly higher credit prizes than standard orbs. A yellow orb sitting directly on the active reels, or in the bottom position of the upcoming queue, is the strongest read on this machine. Yellow orbs waiting further back in the queue carry a separate condition of their own, and the subscriber guide gives the count each condition needs.
What are the play triggers for Egyptian Gems?
Key triggers: orbs on the first reel exit next spin, so exclude those. Yellow orbs on the active reels or in the bottom queue position. Yellow orbs stacked back in the upcoming queue. Red orbs accumulating on the reels, which qualify as a group rather than singly. And total orb volume of any color, for elevated free-games bonus probability. The subscriber guide states the count behind each of those.
Is this game MHB or accumulator?
Egyptian Gems is classified as MHB (must-hit-by) by Gaming Arts, but the orb queue mechanic also functions as an accumulator. The advantage play window combines orb proximity to the active area with the underlying progressive structure. Evaluate both the orb state and the progressive counter values when assessing a play.
